Italy launches a mandatory digital registry for recycled plastic tracking.

The Italian Ministry of Environment has introduced a national digital registry for the traceability of recycled plastics.
The platform will monitor the entire recycling chain — from collection and processing to end-use applications — ensuring data integrity and compliance with EU reporting standards (EoW & WSR).
This digital framework will strengthen transparency in the recycling market and improve the certification process for recycled materials across Europe.
